Yankee Farm and Jill's Garden - January 28, 2007
| There are a lot of flowers in the ground this time of year. Paperwhites (Narcissus tazetta) have finished but the beds are full of leaves. Onions are in the ground and growing. Foxgloves, and Stock are blooming. Watsonia, Canterbury Bells, Lineria, and other flowers are on their way. Most of the greens growing are under the row cloths (remay cloth). The cloth protects them from the White-crowned sparrows. Cole crops and beets are about all done. |
